Job summary

Pennoni Associates Inc. is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer in Raleigh, NC to contribute to land development projects on a full-time, direct basis at our Raleigh office. You will work on private and public site developments across markets, overseeing plans, permits, and reports.

The role emphasizes coordination with regulatory agencies, client interface, and budget tracking, with opportunities for growth and increased responsibility within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, preferably land development.
• NC P.E. license preferred; strong design and permitting understanding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of Land Development Plans including drawings, specs, and reports.
• Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large projects.
• Perform zoning interpretation and feasibility studies.
• Contribute to stormwater design and H&H modeling.
• Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations and permitting.
• Interface with clients and manage project budgets and proposals.
• Provide quality control of staff design and reports.
