Job summary

Pennoni in the Hampton Roads, VA area is seeking a Project Civil Engineer (Land Development) to join our multi-discipline team on a full-time basis. You will contribute to private site development and municipal projects, advancing land development plans, coordinating permits, and guiding junior staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 5+ years' experience, solid problem-solving, and proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of professional experience (Land Development preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver solutions across multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multiple projects and manage schedules & budgets
• Meet regularly with clients and prepare proposals
• Oversee development of Land Development Plans with drawings, specs and reports
• Coordinate permits with regulatory agencies for large-scale projects
• Mentor Junior Engineers and Drafters on SWM, E&SC, and utility design
• Coordinate design disciplines to achieve project goals
