Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Orange, California office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities include site development engineering, project management for residential and commercial projects, coordination with clients and jurisdictions, and preparation of bid packages and technical specs. PE licensure or eligibility within 12 months is required, along with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/storm drainage software

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software (hydrology modeling, storm drainage, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Experience with task management and assisting project management tasks.
• Coordination with clients, attendance at client meetings, and oversight of quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborate with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Lead and mentor staff on design tasks and documentation.
