Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Reno, NV office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Land Development team. This is not a remote position and offers the chance to work on diverse residential and commercial site design projects.

You will perform site development engineering and project management tasks, coordinate with clients and jurisdictions, mentor staff, and contribute to permitting, budgeting, and construction document preparation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting project management.
• Coordination with clients, client meetings, and quality oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Lead land development site design projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting, permitting for land disturbance, and preparation of bid packages.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and schedules; manage staff as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors on multiple projects.
