Onward Search is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead land development projects from concept through construction in San Diego, CA. This full-time role offers a collaborative, innovative environment supporting a dynamic engineering team.

You will design and manage multiple projects, oversee hydrology/earthwork tasks, mentor junior staff, and engage clients to understand requirements and foster ongoing relationships.

Qualifications

• PE license required or equivalent; California registration preferred
• Minimum 12 years of land development experience
• Strong communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of land development projects from concept through construction.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Oversee technical civil design tasks including hydrologic calculations, earthwork, and mapping documents.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and coordinate interdisciplinary project efforts.
• Interact with clients to understand project requirements and foster ongoing relationships.
