Job summary

HRforGrowth represents a leading engineering client in the San Diego area seeking a Civil Project Engineer Manager. The role leads civil engineering and land development initiatives from conception to construction, guiding design teams and interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies.

Candidates should hold a PE license, have 5+ years in civil engineering, and demonstrate strong leadership, budgeting, and project execution skills in a private engineering setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in leadership, PM, or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in land development and site design.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development projects from planning through construction.
• Provide technical direction to project teams and ensure design quality.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders for permitting and approvals.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and contracts; monitor progress and finances.
• Mentor and manage engineers, designers, and staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.
