Job summary

OWN, Inc. is growing its Land Development team in the Kansas City area and seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to lead projects and the people working on them. You will own projects from concept to built, with real ownership and a pathway to leadership as your career advances.

You’ll guide site design for various developments, manage construction documents, and mentor junior engineers while building lasting client relationships in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of land development or site civil experience.
• PE license (or ability to obtain in KS or MO within a few months).
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Strong site design, grading, drainage, and utility design knowledge.
• Experience taking projects through municipal review and permitting in the KC area.

Responsibilities

• Lead land development projects from planning through construction with clients, municipalities, and internal teams.
• Own construction documents from sketch to final set.
• Guide projects through permitting and municipal approvals.
• Support projects in construction and resolve field issues.
• Mentor and review work of junior engineers.
• Build client relationships for repeat work.
