Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia or reciprocity within 6 months.
• 7+ years of land development oversight experience.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and amend construction drawings and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design and execution of land development projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and reports across phases.
• Monitor cost projections, budgets, and change orders with contractors and consultants.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, surveyors, and third-party consultants to align plans.
• Review invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
• Oversee site plan development, grading, stormwater, utility designs.
• Prepare RFPs and manage bidding; evaluate proposals and award recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate transition from design to construction with field operations.
