Job summary

Career Crunch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead land development projects from concept to completion in Virginia. You will manage detailed schedules, budgets, and proffers, coordinating with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.

The role requires a PE license in Virginia or reciprocity within 6 months, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and 7+ years of experience overseeing commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in Virginia or reciprocity within 6 months preferred.
• 7+ years' experience in land development oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of land development projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules from inception through bond release.
• Monitor budgets, resources, change orders, and plan changes with contractors and consultants.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, surveyors, and third-party consultants to ensure latest plans are used.
• Oversee site plan development, grading, stormwater systems, and infrastructure design.
• Prepare RFPs and manage bidding and award processes for consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards across projects.
• Facilitate transition from design to construction with field operations and project managers.
