Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support our land development practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will lead civil/land development design for a diverse client base and contribute to project management and client relations.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, a North Carolina PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, and strong ownership and collaboration skills to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• North Carolina PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience with land development and public utilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design land development projects.
• Lead studies from concept to construction documents.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support client relationships and business development.
• Coordinate design activities with staff and clients.
• Guide technical approaches and cost/schedule decisions.
• Interface with clients and public agencies.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate teams.
