Job summary

The Thomas Young Group is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead and manage the Charlotte office’s engineering department. You will oversee all phases of land development projects from inception through completion, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to budgets, and regulatory compliance.

As Engineer of Record, you will develop best practices, supervise construction documentation, and foster strong client relationships to support business development and growth within the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE License required.
• 7+ years of experience in land development design.
• Direct experience in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County market preferred.
• Strong understanding of site design, cross-discipline coordination, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership and client management experience.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
