Job summary

The Roar is seeking a senior Civil Engineer to oversee land development projects from concept through completion. You will manage schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance, coordinating with designers, contractors, and public agencies to deliver complex developments.

With 7+ years of experience and a Virginia PE license, you will lead cross-functional teams, review plans, and ensure timely, on-budget project delivery in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia or reciprocity within 6 months.
• 7+ years of land development experience.
• Strong ability to read and amend construction drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of land development projects from concept to completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and reporting.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, cost projections, and approvals.
• Coordinate changes, change orders, and negotiations with consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Review invoices, change orders, and payments.
• Facilitate transition from design to construction with Field Operations PM.
• Coordinate with internal teams, public agencies, and stakeholders.
• Develop proffer tracking and ensure obligations are met.
