Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer to lead civil design for land development and infrastructure projects. This on-site role supports Grand Rapids, MI and Scottsdale, AZ with technical leadership, collaboration, and independent design ownership.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license, a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, and 5+ years of experience in land development or public infrastructure. Travel to project sites and regulatory offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Active PE license required.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam.
• Working knowledge of civil engineering regulations, permitting processes, and municipal requirements.
• Willingness to travel to project sites, client meetings, and regulatory offices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine civil engineering solutions for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Own technical design activities and ensure plans, calculations, and docs meet objectives.
• Evaluate engineering challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, permitting authorities, and construction teams.
• Monitor deliverables and maintain design schedules.
• Review construction documentation and address field questions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote high-quality practices.
