Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead land development and infrastructure projects from concept through construction. The role focuses on technical excellence, client relationships, and mentorship of engineering teams in a fast-growing civil practice.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Civil Engineering degree, and at least seven years of progressive experience managing multi-discipline projects.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license and a BS in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with project leadership.
• Experience delivering land development and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and site design tools.
• Strong communication, budgeting, and client relationship skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct civil engineering projects from design through construction and permit.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, deliverables, and team resources.
• Provide technical oversight for site development, drainage, utilities, and transportation improvements.
• Review drawings, calculations, specs, and ensure code compliance.
• Build client, consultant, contractor, and authority relationships for approvals.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate workload and professional development.
• Support project financials, proposals, and business development.

• Guide engineering and design professionals through technical reviews, workload coordination, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
• Support project financial management, proposal development, risk mitigation, and opportunities to expand existing client relationships.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience, including responsibility for managing projects.
• Proven experience delivering land development and infrastructure projects, with knowledge of site design, drainage, utilities, and applicable permitting requirements.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering applications, including the ability to evaluate and review technical designs.
• Strong project leadership, communication, budgeting, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and maintain client relationships.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project locations as needed.
