Job summary
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking a Consulting Engineer/Project Consultant II to join a multi-disciplinary civil engineering team in Massachusetts. The role covers land development, site improvements, drainage design, and performance analysis using Civil3D, AutoCAD and related tools. Willingness to travel to out‑of‑state sites is required.
The position offers a competitive base salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and an incentive bonus program. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is included.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Civil Engineering from ABET‑accredited university; desire to obtain MS within 4 years using tuition reimbursement.
- Professional licensure required.
- Active participation in civil engineering organizations (ASCE or similar).
- Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge within area of expertise.
- Ability to integrate work of multiple technical experts into a solution.
Responsibilities
- Preparing proposals, budgeting and staffing.
- Planning work for supervisor approval.
- Handling complex projects with supervision; preparing reports.
