Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant to support geotechnical design and analysis for complex projects in Waltham, MA. You'll assist in planning, field and lab services, reporting, drawings, and construction monitoring under a licensed engineer.

Ideal candidates hold an MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical focus, plus knowledge of GEOSLOPE, LPILE, AutoCAD, and related tools; occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical/geo-structural focus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of geotechnical theory and behavior, tested during interview.
• Willingness to telecommute 1–2 days/week from home within commuting distance of Waltham, MA.
• Ability to travel to remote job sites up to 10% of time, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating field and laboratory services for diverse project types.
• Prepare reports and drawings, and assist in project specifications for construction.
• Perform construction administration and monitoring duties.
• Assist in creating scopes, schedules, and budgets for proposals.
