Job summary

Hatch seeks a Senior Civil Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA to join a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering large and small projects. You will prepare engineering calculations, specifications, data sheets, and reports for front-end planning and detailed design phases, while leading a team of civil professionals.

The role involves coordination with clients and contractors, site queries, and developing robust execution plans. Strong leadership and design experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil engineering design and management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Proficiency with Civil3D, OpenRoads and MicroStation.
• Good planning and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Manager with delivery of project requirements (scope, quantities, cost, schedule).
• Prepare and review Engineering Work Packages (EWPs).
• Assign tasks and monitor progress and quality.
• Develop manpower and civil work plans for project schedules.
• Lead and mentor civil team members including designers and technologists.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure design integrity.
