Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Structural Engineer to support the Project Delivery Group from our Pittsburgh, PA office. You will assist the Lead Structural Engineer in developing scopes, estimates, and repair methodologies while applying Civil/Structural principles.

This entry-level role is suitable for recent graduates with knowledge of structural steel and concrete design, engineering codes, and FE/EIT or active certification.

Qualifications

Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be university graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited university
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Structural Engineer in developing project scopes, estimates, capital cost estimates and repair methodologies
Apply Civil/Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, economical and timely solutions in a multidiscipline project environment
Directly apply and develop knowledge in structural steel, concrete and foundation design for building and equipment support structures
Design structures and components
Gain valuable on-site practical experience
