Job summary

Hatch is seeking a dynamic Junior Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join the Project Delivery Group in Pittsburgh, PA. You will support offices globally from our Pittsburgh office location, contributing to mechanical design, piping analysis, and data-driven project delivery.

This role targets recent graduates with a mechanical engineering background, a minimum 3.0 GPA, and an interest in traveling to support global projects. Collaboration and safety are emphasized within Hatch’s in-office culture.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be university/college graduates with relevant skills.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge in mechanical design, stress analysis and hydraulic system design.
• Perform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support site field visits to obtain information and data for projects.
• Assist with equipment identification, sizing, layout, and vendor information reviews.
• Support piping system design activities including PFD, P&ID, material specs, and stress analysis.
• Interface with vendors and clients throughout the project duration.
