Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Houston, TX, to lead a civil engineering team on multi-disciplinary projects. You will prepare calculations, specs, and data sheets for front-end planning and detailed engineering phases, while supervising designers and engineers and coordinating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years' experience in civil engineering design and management.
• Experience working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the use of Civil3D, OpenRoads and Microstation.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager with delivery of project requirements related to scope, quantities, cost and schedule.
• Prepare Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) in consultation with the Engineering Manager.
• Assign and monitor work tasks to team members and track progress and quality.
• Develop the manpower schedule as part of the project schedule.
• Maintain the civil work plan for insertion into the execution plan.
• Contribute to monthly engineering status reports and design reviews.
