Monte Vista Consulting, Ltd. is a Reno-based civil engineering firm seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and plan production, mentor junior staff, and progressively take on project management responsibilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a solid understanding of the civil site design and approval processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil design and plan production.
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage and utility design within the site development process.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and collaborating on multi-discipline projects.
• Prior exposure to project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage site improvement plans including grading, utility, and drainage design across a range of projects
• Translate architectural concept plans into civil engineering design deliverables
• Coordinate design work with survey data, geotechnical reports, and applicable jurisdictional requirements
• Provide technical mentorship and review for junior engineering and design staff
• Support quality control review of plan sets prior to agency submittal
• Participate in client and agency coordination
