Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Practice Leader - Civil Engineering in Reno, NV. You will lead design, permitting and client management for diverse land development projects, partnering with senior leadership on growth and execution.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years of land development experience, a PE license, and strong skills in AutoCAD or Civil 3D. You will mentor staff, manage key clients, and drive project success from concept through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of successful site/civil engineering experience with a land development focus.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Strong client development and management abilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial and mixed‑use land development projects.
• Lead growth planning and staff utilization with firm leadership.
• Lead staffing and hiring initiatives for the Reno office.
• Develop new clients and manage existing relationships; participate in business development meetings.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to junior staff on projects.
