Job summary

Arup seeks a Senior Civil Engineer based in Dallas to lead site development for data center projects across North America. You will guide utilities, drainage, road design and master planning, mentoring engineers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams including architecture, landscape, and environmental engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering/site development.
• Strong knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and 3-D utility design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Experience delivering projects and interfacing with owners, contractors, and consultants.
• Commitment to sustainable design practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build consensus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of site development, utilities, roadway, drainage and related elements.
• Lead site due diligence and master planning for regional/hyperscale clients.
• Direct a team of engineers and subconsultants in design document production.
• Coordinate with agencies for land use and permit processes.
• Collaborate with SMEP, architecture, landscape, geotechnical, transportation, and cost engineering teams.
• Provide construction phase support and site supervision.
• Participate in proposals and marketing activities.
• Build relationships with clients and partners; mentor team members.
