Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Civil Engineer/Senior Civil Engineer – Data Centers to join our Civil Engineering and Design team within the Environment & Health division. The role focuses on site feasibility, master planning, permitting, and design for data center and large industrial projects in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment.

You will lead technical work, manage client relations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license strongly preferred, with ability to obtain licensure by comity in target states.
• Extensive land development and site civil design experience on large, complex projects.
• Experience working with AHJs and leading multidisciplinary teams; familiarity with permitting practices in PA, WA, TX, or LA.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering and land development services for data center, mission-critical, and large industrial projects from site selection through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risk, client communication, proposals, and subconsultants across multiple projects.
• Direct technical work including site layout, grading, stormwater, drainage, utilities, access roads, erosion control, and permitting.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, agencies, and authorities while navigating codes, permitting requirements, and development standards.
• Review technical deliverables, mentor engineers and CAD staff, support team growth, and contribute to client development and market expansion.
