Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Data Center group in the United States. You’ll lead site development, perform due diligence, and coordinate across architectural, energy, water, environmental, and permitting teams on large industrial and data center facilities.

The role emphasizes evaluating infrastructure, leading complex projects, and providing executive-level recommendations with a focus on site selection, feasibility, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PE license required.
• 15+ years of engineering experience with site development and industrial projects.
• Experience leading technical due diligence and site evaluation efforts.
• Strong ability to communicate risks, permitting challenges, and opportunities.
• Proven capability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site development planning and data center project scoping.
• Conduct due diligence and feasibility studies for development sites.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering disciplines.
• Prepare permitting packages and stakeholder communications.
• Produce technical memos and executive-level recommendations.
