Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Data Center group in the United States. You’ll lead site development, due diligence, and feasibility studies for large data center, industrial, and commercial facilities, coordinating civil design and multi-disciplinary teams across projects.

You’ll guide site selection, permitting, and infrastructure assessments, and contribute to executive-level recommendations while collaborating with offices nationwide under Jacobs’ hybrid work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• PE license
• 8 or more years of engineering experience, including site development and industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of design for medium to large industrial developments
• Experience with site feasibility studies, due diligence, and site selection

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design for land/site development and site selection for large facilities
• Conduct technical due diligence for prospective project sites
• Prepare grading plans, earthwork, drainage analyses, and permitting packages
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, architecture, energy, water, environmental, and utilities
• Develop site selection criteria, scoring, and feasibility reports
• Prepare construction drawings, technical reports, and executive-level recommendations
• Lead project discipline activities and communicate development risks and opportunities
