Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support land development, master plans, and municipal infrastructure projects in the western U.S. The role emphasizes technical design, scope and budget definition, QA/QC, and leading teams through preliminary to construction phases.

You will deliver design drawings, calculations, specs, and field work while collaborating with regional leaders to guide project deliverables and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience including Community Development
• Strong problem-solving skills for infrastructure delivery
• Understanding of project scoping, scheduling, deliverables, budgeting

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering deliverables: design drawings, quantities, cost estimates and specifications
• Support grading, drainage, stormwater, roadway improvements, hydrology/hydraulic modeling
• Lead and mentor junior staff on multiple projects
• Coordinate with design teams and outside consultants to meet timelines and quality standards
• Perform field observations and data collection to support design decisions
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFI while assisting contract administration
