Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager / Civil Engineer in California to lead multi-disciplinary teams on site development, subdivisions, and campuses. You will guide design, permitting, and construction oversight from initiation through close-out, collaborating with clients, designers, and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes sustainable, resilient communities with opportunities to grow within Stantec’s Community Development Group in California and the broader West region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 8+ years of civil engineering experience preferred for project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for civil design and modeling, including grading, drainage, and storm water.
• Manage multiple projects with scope, budget, and schedule oversight.
• Lead the design team and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
• Oversee day-to-day project activities and client communications.
• Develop, track, and modify project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare project status reports and review invoices and change orders.
• Support business development and client relationship building.
