Job summary

Bohler is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer for its Bedford, NH office to lead site design efforts across complex projects. You will own grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting while guiding junior staff and ensuring design quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in land development, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, and knowledge of local permitting. PE is beneficial; EIT in progress is expected. Join a collaborative team shaping Bedford communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• Detail‑oriented approach with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
