Bohler’s Warren, NJ office seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer ready to lead technical aspects of site design, grading, utilities, stormwater, and permitting across the Greater New York/New Jersey Metro area.

You’ll serve as a trusted technical resource, mentor junior staff, supervise quality and compliance, and contribute to high‑profile projects from concept through construction. This role emphasizes design leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
