Job summary

Bohler’s Mechanicsburg, PA office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer who will lead site design, grading, utilities, and permitting for high-profile Central PA projects. You’ll work with experienced engineers to ensure design quality and constructability while mentoring junior staff.

You’ll collaborate across teams, contribute to budgeting and planning, and advance your technical expertise in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
