Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer for its Mechanicsburg, PA office to lead site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting across Central PA. You’ll partner with senior engineers to ensure design quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance on high-profile projects.

You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, perform hydrology calculations, review deliverables, and help with budgeting and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
