Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group in Nashville, TN is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead technical site design across diverse projects. You will own grading, drainage, and permitting scopes, coordinate with clients and regulators, and mentor junior engineers.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in land development, strong Civil 3D skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
