Job summary

Bohler's Bowie, MD office seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer who is ready to take the next step in technical leadership. You'll lead site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting for high-profile projects in the Bowie area.

You'll collaborate with engineers and project leaders, review designs, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in land development design and permitting.
• PE preferred; EIT required or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Contribute to budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
