Bohler’s Gaithersburg, MD office is seeking aSenior Civil Design Engineer to lead technical design efforts across site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting. You’ll act as a trusted technical resource, guide junior engineers, and contribute to high-profile Maryland projects from concept through permitting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
