Bohler’s Bowie, MD office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead site design, grading, utilities, stormwater management, and permitting for high-profile projects in the Bowie area. You’ll mentor junior engineers and ensure design quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software is required, with opportunities to influence project budgeting and planning while collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies for successful

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• PE license beneficial; EIT required or in progress.

Responsabilités

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.
