Job summary

Bohler’s Towson, MD office is seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer who will lead site design, grading, utilities, and permitting for high-profile projects across Towson. You’ll collaborate with engineers and project leaders to ensure design quality, constructability, and compliance.

You will mentor junior staff, shape project delivery, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
• Knowledge of local zoning, permitting, and construction requirements.
• PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology and stormwater calculations using engineering software.
• Assist in project budgeting and workload planning.
