Job summary

University of Arizona MEZCOPH is seeking a Senior Coordinator, CHW Professional Development to ensure rural and tribal CHWs access high quality training and scholarships. The role coordinates stipends, advances a U of A microcredential for CHWs, and supports CHW core competency training program approvals.

The position is hybrid with regular travel to Tucson and up to 10% travel region-wide; visa sponsorship is not available. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between CHW ASCEND project and Community Health Workers seeking scholarships and stipends.
• Identify and recruit eligible CHWs and troubleshoot participation barriers.
• Develop outreach materials and communications to support access to stipends and scholarships.
• Plan and implement workflows to ensure timely distribution of travel stipends and scholarships.
• Coordinate with unit finance staff to ensure payments are processed on schedule.
