Job summary

Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Chipset Power System Engineer to solve power challenges and optimize power for Snapdragon chipsets. You will lead a cross-functional team to model SOC/chipset power and deliver solutions that reduce power consumption across end-to-end designs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years in power/low-power design preferred.
• Low power design at SOC/chipset or platform level.
• Architectural knowledge in processors (AP/Modem) and AR/VR/IoT.
• Hardware or software design/optimizations for low power.
• System-level power modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Power architecture and tradeoff analysis.
• Chipset and system level power modeling, analysis and optimization.
• Identify power requirements and quantify gaps/risk areas.
• Optimize power efficiency and performance of present generation designs.
• Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle to meet power targets.
• Design of power features with cross-functional teams.
• Customer interaction to advertise capabilities and address requirements.
• Power modeling of customer-specific use cases.
