Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Chiller Technician in Tampa, FL to join the ActiveOps Technical Services team. You will lead on-site management of subcontractors and ensure client relationships stay strong while guiding HVAC installations and energy-efficient improvements.

The role requires advanced HVAC knowledge, OSHA certification within 6 months, and a BA/BS in Construction Management or related field. A competitive benefits package accompanies the position.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of leadership of trades and job sites preferred.
• HVAC certifications or licenses such as EPA 608 for handling refrigerants.
• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of subcontractors and maintenance of client relationships.
• Perform quality control checks of HVAC installations and recommend system upgrades.
• Communicate with clients providing technical guidance and support.
• Identify energy-efficient alternatives to improve building performance.
