Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a dynamic Child Welfare Supervisor 2 to lead The Dalles Child Welfare office. You will mentor staff, ensure policy compliance, and build strong partnerships with families and community partners to deliver high-quality services.

This is a permanent, full-time supervisory role focused on transforming child welfare outcomes and supporting staff development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with two years of lead work, supervision, or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree unrelated to human services with equivalent certification coursework and two years of lead/supervisory experience.
• An associate degree and three years of human services experience, with at least two years in lead work or supervision.
• Associate degree with certification coursework and two years of lead work or supervision.

• Oversee staff directly serving children and families.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to meet standards of quality, safety, and permanency.
• Maintain relationships with community partners, children, and families; make service decisions.
