The Georgia Department of Human Services in Canton, GA, is seeking a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor to oversee frontline staff and coordinate services within the Child Welfare unit.

You will supervise and guide casework, ensure safety protocols, and align practices with state and federal laws guiding child welfare services. This role offers telework options depending on position and a strong benefits package.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of job-related case management experience; or one (1) year at lower level Child Welfare Svcs Case Mgr 3 (SSP072) or position equivalent.

Mansioni

• Supervise and plan work of assigned staff
• Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
• Access and record client and community resource information
• Collect evidence, interviews witnesses, and prepare necessary reports according to rules and regulations, state and federal laws
• Compile records and prepare reports; performs follow-up to determine the status of client’s case
• Conduct home-visit evaluations for information gathering to be used in assessments
• Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions
• Coordinate and monitor services, including comprehensive tracking of client’s activities
• Develop case plans that effectively utilize community resources to meet needs of individual custodial client
• Identify placement resources for children within the foster care system
• Initiate the legal process for guardianship, protective services, placement and/or adoption
• Maintain required documentation and completes reports
• Make immediate assessments regarding safety of clients and respond according to established protocol and policies
• Perform initial investigations of protective services referrals to determine the appropriateness of protective services intervention
• Work in collaboration with legal system to ensure safety and achieve desired outcomes
• Review, approve/disapprove, or render decisions on casework being performed by staff
