State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services seeks a Child Welfare Services Case Manager Supervisor in Canton, Cherokee County. The role reports to a Child Welfare Services Administrator and leads a team within DFCS, Child Welfare, to strengthen Georgia families and protect vulnerable children and adults across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of job-related case management experience; or one (1) year of experience at lower level Child Welfare Svcs Case Mgr 3.
• Behavioral Science degrees include but are not limited to social science, psychology, sociology, child development, family studies, criminal justice, education, public health, public administration, nursing.
• Experience with assessing, home evaluations, and coordination of services in DFCS/Child Welfare context.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and plan work of assigned staff
• Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
• Access and record client and community resource information
• Collect evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare reports according to rules and regulations
• Compile records and prepare reports; perform follow-up on client status
• Conduct home-visit evaluations for information gathering for assessments
• Coordinate and monitor children in out-of-home placements and in-home interventions
• Coordinate services, including tracking of client activities
• Develop case plans utilizing community resources to meet custodial needs
• Initiate legal processes for guardianship, protective services, placement and/or adoption
• Maintain required documentation and completes reports
• Make immediate safety assessments and respond per protocol
• Perform initial investigations of protective services referrals
• Collaborate with legal system to ensure safety and outcomes
• Review/approve/disapprove/decide on casework by staff
