Job summary

Grace, a Standard Industries company, seeks a Chemical Operator for the Baltimore/Curtis Bay, MD plant. You will handle, store, and transport chemical materials; operate and monitor continuous and batch processes; troubleshoot issues; and perform routine minor maintenance on equipment and instrumentation.

The role emphasizes safety, EHS compliance, and accurate data recording. Working 12-hour rotating shifts, you will contribute to process efficiency, environmental responsibility, and safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and type English.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed specifications, including basic math.
• Must successfully complete the Skills Assessment.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• 2–3 years of Industrial manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing equipment following standard operating procedures.
• Act as a safety leader and comply with environmental, health, safety, and process safety standards.
• Perform process equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in all assigned areas.
• Record plant process, quality and environmental data.
• Communicate plant status with relief and coworkers.
• May be assigned other duties equivalent in skill to job requirements.
