Job summary

W. R. Grace is seeking an Operations Leader for a 24/7 chemical manufacturing plant in Curtis Bay, MD. This on-site role reports to the Operations Manager and guides cross-functional teams to resolve plant challenges safely and effectively.

You will oversee Shift Supervisors, manage union workforce, and participate in the plant leadership team's on-call rotation. The role requires promoting safe production, meeting quality and environmental goals, and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Mechanical or process controls skills with large machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing employees to safely operate the plant and meet production goals.
• Walk the production floor daily to engage workers and spot issues.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and balance staffing per shift.
• Lead plant shutdowns and support Job Hazard Analyses.
