Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ, to lead chemical process projects from inception through construction. You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, and equipment specifications while supporting project teams across locations.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in chemical/process engineering, PE licensure, and experience with industry codes. The role offers on-site responsibilities with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering and licensure in state of practice.
• 10+ years of working experience in chemical/process engineering.
• Exposure to chemical plants, metals processing, food/beverage or related settings.
• Experience with chemical storage requirements and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering studies; write reports; develop and complete engineering calculations.
• Develop or work on PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specs, and procurement.
• Provide engineering oversight and checking of process deliverables.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to complete project tasks.
• Assist in creation of bid packages.
• Perform field work to support responsibilities.
