Job summary

SSOE is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Process Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ to join our engineering team on projects from inception through construction. You will develop PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specs, and support through construction and commissioning.

The position offers exposure to chemical, manufacturing, food, and pharmaceutical clients, with remote collaboration across locations and opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required and qualifies for licensure in the state of practice.
• EIT is preferred, with little or no practical working experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete project tasks.
• Assist in the creation of bid packages.
• Perform field work to support the above responsibilities.
• Lead engineering studies and develop engineering calculations.
• Review work with supervisor to ensure sound engineering practices and judgment.
• Travel as needed.
