Job summary
SSOE is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our Scottsdale team. This role supports local clients and virtual teams across locations, leading projects from concept through construction.
The position requires strong skills in process engineering, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications. You will develop and review process deliverables, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and contribute to multi-discipline teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- Active PE licensure or on-track to obtain within 12 months.
- 10+ years of experience in chemical/process engineering is expected.
- Experience with chemical plants and industrial settings preferred.
- Experience with chemical simulation programs such as ChemCAD or Aspen is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering studies, write reports, and perform engineering calculations.
- Develop PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specs, and procurement.
- Provide engineering oversite and checks on process deliverables.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to complete project tasks.
- Assist in creating bid packages and procurement.
- Perform field work to support project responsibilities.
