Job summary

Aurora on France Assisted Living in Edina, MN is seeking a Senior Chef to ensure meals meet regulations and resident expectations, with duties spanning menu planning, daily prep, and food safety.

This role supports health inspections, oversees kitchen operations, and coordinates events with the Culinary Director, while supervising staff in the director's absence. The position offers day/evening shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation, within Ebenezer-managed care communities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in culinary/kitchen supervision.
• Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supports culinary operations by assisting with health inspections, menu planning, and daily prep task sheets.
• Prepare and cook food items to specified temperatures using standardized recipes.
• Assemble meals and bakery items within time frames and assist events with the Culinary Director.
• Knowledge of IDDSI texturized diets and proper portions.
• Supervise kitchen staff in the supervisor's absence and communicate resident feedback.

Education

Food Protection Manager Certification (ANAB-CFP)

Associate of Arts in Food Service or Vocational/Technical Training
