Job summary

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) in Wauwatosa, WI seeks a Senior Design Engineer - Chassis to design, develop and deliver motorcycle chassis components. You will lead with strong fundamentals, work cross-functionally, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with performance, cost, durability and timing goals.

You will define requirements, develop CAD models in Creo, and drive DFMEA/DVP&R activities, collaborating with suppliers and production teams to ensure

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electro-mechanical required.
• Minimum 5 years in hands-on engineering in product development.
• Strong background in mechanical design and project management.
• Experience with manufacturing processes: welding, forging, casting, machining, injection molding, coatings.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and deliver motorcycle components from concept to production.
• Define and manage component/system requirements aligned with vehicle performance.
• Create and release CAD models, drawings, and documentation.
• Plan validation activities including DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, testing, issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and suppliers to resolve issues.
